"Janet Jackson is to be honored by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) during the organization's 19th Annual GLAAD Media Awards on 26 April (08). Gay comedienne and TV personality Ellen DeGeneres will present the pop superstar with the night's Vanguard Award. The singer says, "I have received a number of awards throughout my career, but I am so proud to be receiving this from GLAAD. "I thank them for this honor from the bottom of my heart."
